The Books
Two volumes. One hundred and eighty days of deliberate work. Both available in paperback and on Kindle.
Work Them in Order
Book One covers the working tools. Book Two covers the winding stairs, and it assumes you have already done the first. That is not a sales tactic — it is how the degrees are built, and the second volume says so on its own pages: “the tools come before the ascent, in the Craft and in this series both.”
If you have already worked The Working Man, go straight to the stair. If you are starting fresh, start at the gauge.

The Working Man
90 Masonic Journal Reflections
Book One — The Working Tools
Eight modules built on the ancient operative tools: the 24-Inch Gauge, the Common Gavel, the Plumb, the Level, the Square, the Trowel, the Compasses, and the Trestleboard.
Ninety days of taking a tool you can already name and finding out what it demands of you in a marriage, on a job site, and in your private habits. You will reclaim your time, forge steady character, govern your impulses, and learn how to actively spread the cement of brotherhood.
If you merely read this guide, you will gain very little. If you put honest effort into the daily prompts, you will rebuild your foundation.
Paperback $12.99 · Kindle $5.99

The Man on the Stair
90 Masonic Journal Reflections on the Fellowcraft’s Ascent
Book Two — The Winding Stairs
You were passed to the degree of Fellowcraft. You can probably not tell me much about the evening.
That is nearly universal. Most men experience the Second Degree as a turnstile between the night they were initiated and the night they were raised. Which is strange, because the Fellowcraft is the only degree in the Craft that is explicitly about education. We were handed a curriculum and treated it as a corridor.
Six modules, ninety days, fifteen steps: the Two Pillars, the Three Steps, the Five Senses, the Five Orders, the Seven Liberal Arts, and the Middle Chamber.
Paperback $12.99 · Kindle $5.99
For Lodges and Study Groups
Both volumes work as a Lodge education program. Ninety days of structured material, one entry per meeting or one per day, with prompts that produce actual discussion instead of a lecture nobody remembers.
If your Lodge wants to run either book as a group study, email me directly: trestleboardproject@gmail.com
